We3

We3 began in 2015, born from the long-standing a cappella group The Magnets. The three of them wanted to explore something new—something that took the essence of a cappella and rebuilt it from the ground up. That journey led to a sound and style that has been enchanting audiences across the globe.

Fraser

Fraser’s path to We3 is anything but ordinary. He spent years as a classical trumpet player before discovering his voice in choirs, a moment that opened the door to singing. Not long after, he found himself drawn into the world of Contemporary Ballet, a leap that eventually carried him to the West End stage in a string of musical theatre productions. A cappella entered his life with The Flying Pickets, sparking a passion that grew even stronger when he later joined The Magnets. That’s where he met Andy and Steve — and where the idea of We3 quietly began to take shape.

Steve

After studying at the University of York and the GSMD Steve quickly became a professional singer and saxophonist. Throughout a career with multiple rock, pop and jazz bands, various concert orchestras and leading session choirs the a cappella fire always burned brightly. Following a few exciting years singing around the world with Synergy and Cantabile (The London Quartet) he decided to commit his vocal, arranging and performing talents to The Magnets for what turned out to be nineteen years. During this time his relationship with Andy and Fraser grew into something that would inevitably fulfil his longtime desire to form an entertaining and powerful a cappella trio.

Andy

Andy discovered his extraordinary talent as a vocal percussionist as a teenager, translating complex beats from the drum kit into the human voice. Through years of dedicated experimentation, he forged a distinctive style centred around groove, rhythm and raw musicality. In 1999, Andy joined The Magnets, providing the ideal stage to master and showcase his unique vocal percussion. It was there where Andy met Steve and Fraser. The powerful synergy of their shared musical tastes and talents ultimately laid the foundation for We3, defining the distinctive sound that sets the group apart today.
